Details
This is the first practice from Ukraine in this list.
Despite the Soviet authorities' longstanding efforts to erase our people's native culture, history, language, and identity from the memory of our nation, Ukrainian culture is once again attracting the world's attention!
In addition, as a result of cooperation between Ukraine and Estonia, the international element “Pysanka: Ukrainian tradition and art of egg decoration” was added to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
These achievements are yet another proof that Ukrainian culture, despite all the challenges of the past and present, remains invincible. The Soviet regime tried to erase our identity, but we proved to the world that Ukrainian traditions live on, develop and inspire!
He also reminded us that we have already been added to the UNESCO list:
Petrykivka painting (2013);
Kosiv painted ceramics (2019);
Ornek - Crimean Tatar ornament (2021).
Recall
