Ukraine received €3.2 billion from the European Union - the first tranche under the new financial instrument Ukraine Support Loan, the Ministry of Finance reported on June 25, writes UNN.
The State Budget of Ukraine received €3.2 billion from the European Union. This is the first tranche of budget support under the new financial instrument Ukraine Support Loan
These funds, as stated, "will be directed to financing priority expenditures of the state budget, supporting macro-financial stability, and ensuring the continuous operation of the state under conditions of full-scale war."
Ukraine Support Loan is part of a broader two-year framework of EU support for Ukraine for 2026-2027 with a total volume of up to €90 billion. In 2026, up to €45 billion should be available to Ukraine.
"The received €3.2 billion is the first practical result of launching the new support instrument for Ukraine. For us, this is not just another tranche. It is a resource that helps the state fulfill its obligations to citizens, maintain financial stability, and direct more internal resources to defense. I am grateful to the EU for quick decisions, consistency, and readiness to support Ukraine for as long as needed," said Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko.
The European Union, the Ministry of Finance emphasized, "remains a key partner of Ukraine in ensuring budget stability."
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the EU, as stated, has provided Ukraine with over €70 billion in budget support.
