Since the beginning of this summer, a state program to support distributed generation projects has been launched in Ukraine. From now on, enterprises will be able to attract loans for the construction of new generating capacities at 10% per annum. This will be possible thanks to the state's compensation of part of the interest rate. This was reported on Telegram by First Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, UNN reports.

According to the head of the ministry, this program is aimed at large and medium-sized businesses and also applies to:
- projects for the construction of gas piston and gas turbine
units;
- cogeneration units;
- biomass and biogas facilities;
- energy storage systems and other infrastructure that will increase the reliability of electricity supply to enterprises and communities in the face of energy terror by the Russian Federation.
The amount of financing ranges from 1 to 25 million euros in hryvnia equivalent, Svyrydenko noted. At the same time, a loan can be obtained for a period of up to 5 years, and for the period of construction and commissioning of the facility, there is a possibility of deferring payments for up to 12 months.
Priority will be given to projects being built in energy-deficient regions, primarily in frontline areas and regions bordering the Russian Federation and Belarus, Svyrydenko's post reads. Applications for participation in the program can be submitted through 14 partner banks, but their number will increase over time.
The National Development Institution will select and monitor the projects.
