Ukraine is currently finalizing the adoption of a package of laws that are a prerequisite for the start of the negotiation process with the European Union. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting, UNN reports with reference to the Government Portal.
%%QUOTE_TITLE%%The Ukrainian people have proved that Dignity and Freedom are unshakable values. In 2013, when it did not allow the pro-Russian authoritarian government to turn away from the European path. And today, when it is fighting back against the Russian aggressor who is trying to take away our home and our freedom. Ukraine has survived thanks to brave and caring people. Thanks to those who fought on the Maidan and those who are now defending the country at the front," Shmyhal emphasized.

As Shmyhal noted, the European Commission has recognized the enormous progress of our European integration efforts. Its recommendations to open pre-accession talks, he said, are a historic step, a logical continuation of the events that took place on the Maidan 10 years ago.
"Ukraine is currently finalizing the adoption of a package of laws that are a prerequisite for the start of the negotiation process. Today, the Parliament is considering the government's draft laws on strengthening the institutional capacity of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, on expanding the powers of the NACP, on the independence of the SAPO. The Verkhovna Rada is also adopting two more European integration laws - on improving the mechanisms of inter-territorial and cross-border cooperation and on creating a system of minimum stocks of oil and oil products," Shmyhal noted.
