Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga called on the G7 countries to strengthen military support for Ukraine, in particular, to provide opportunities to intercept new Russian medium-range ballistic missiles. This UNN reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of foreign affairs.
Sibiga, during a ministerial meeting of the group of seven in Italy dedicated to supporting Ukraine, pointed out to the G7 Russia's recent steps to expand the war: the involvement of North Korean troops, strikes on Ukraine's nuclear power facilities, and the use of a medium-range ballistic missile.
Against the background of Russia's use of BRSD against Ukraine, the minister urged allies not to succumb to Russian blackmail. But he asked to take steps that " will further strengthen the Ukrainian air shield, in particular with the ability to intercept BRSD, as well as with systematic measures to deter and counter Russia's ability to produce and use such missiles.
The Foreign Minister also called on the group of seven countries to make large-scale investments in the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.
