Two-time NASCAR champion Kyle Busch has died at the age of 41 following severe pneumonia that led to sepsis and rapid complications. This was reported by the BBC with reference to a statement from the driver's family, according to UNN.

Busch died suddenly on Thursday, although he was scheduled to participate in the upcoming Coca-Cola 600 race in North Carolina. NASCAR called him a "rare, once-in-a-generation talent."

Over a career spanning more than 20 years, Busch won 63 NASCAR Cup Series races and secured two championship titles. According to ESPN, he won a total of 234 races across NASCAR's three national series—the highest figure in the competition's history. NASCAR Chief Operating Officer Steve O'Donnell stated that the races would continue, as Busch himself "would be upset if they didn't happen."
Following the news of the driver's death, colleagues and fans began posting messages of condolence. Former teammate Denny Hamlin wrote: "Absolutely cannot comprehend this news. We just need to think about his family at this time." Kyle Busch is survived by his wife, two children, and parents.
