White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that after leaving her post at the end of August, she would return to MAGA Inc., a super PAC associated with President Donald Trump. Bloomberg reports, citing UNN.
Details
Leavitt told reporters about her plans on Friday during a flight with Trump aboard Air Force One to South Carolina. In early August, she announced her upcoming departure from the press secretary position.
Her departure was one of a series of personnel changes at the White House ahead of the midterm elections in November. Bloomberg links the reshuffle, among other things, to Trump's low approval ratings, voters' dissatisfaction with his economic policies and the war in Iran, as well as Republicans' difficult struggle to retain control of Congress.
Leavitt has already worked at MAGA Inc.
Leavitt was a junior White House spokeswoman during Trump's first presidential term. After that, she worked for a Trump-affiliated political committee and later returned to his 2024 presidential campaign.

Trump has not yet announced who will replace Leavitt as White House press secretary.
MAGA Inc. remains one of the main financial instruments of Trump's political movement. According to Bloomberg, the committee's reserves grew to nearly $404 million in July.
Despite its significant financial resources, MAGA Inc. spent a relatively small share of its funds supporting Republican Party candidates in the current election cycle.
