In a leading academy of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, a Russian "mole" was detained who tried to "leak" information about the latest developments of Ukrainian drones to the enemy, UNN reports, citing the SBU.
Details
The military counterintelligence of the Security Service, with the assistance of the Minister of Defense, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the leadership of the military academy, thwarted a new attempt by the Rashists to seize Ukraine's latest developments in the field of unmanned technologies.
As a result of proactive measures, an agent of the Russian military intelligence (better known as the GRU), who was spying for the enemy at one of the leading academies of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, was detained. As the investigation established, the "mole" of the enemy special service turned out to be an associate professor of the scientific center
As reported by the SBU, on the orders of the Russian GRU, the agent copied and sent to the curator in the Russian Federation project documentation on the latest attack drones of the Defense Forces.
Also, the official groundlessly recognized the developments of Ukrainian arms manufacturers, which were undergoing expert evaluation of their tactical and technical characteristics, as unpromising.
To do this, he prepared "negative" conclusions on test projects of unmanned and robotic systems, which were supposedly unsuitable for use in combat conditions.
But the military counterintelligence of the SBU documented every step of the suspect.
Thanks to proactive measures, the Security Service used the "mole" to disinform the enemy, and also prevented the transfer of secret developments of the Ukrainian defense industry to the Rashists.
At the final stage of the special operation, SBU officers detained the agent "red-handed" in his office when he was trying to send new documents to the curator in the Russian Federation.

It was established that the associate professor was recruited by Russian intelligence officers through his acquaintance from the Russian Federation. In exchange for carrying out agent tasks, the suspect hoped for a "position" in the occupation administration of the Russian Federation.
During a search of the detainee, two mobile phones and computer equipment were found, which he used for secret communication with the Russian GRU.
Let's add
Investigators of the Security Service informed him of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody without the right to bail. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
