"With government officials confirming a planned terrorist attack at the Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for the safety of everyone," the organizer said in a statement on its official website.

On August 7, Austrian police detained a 19-year-old Austrian citizen on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack in Vienna. According to law enforcement officials, he was targeting Taylor Swift's concert at the Ernst Happel Stadium. The police also intend to strengthen security measures at all concerts in the capital.
