President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced positive developments in discussions about the possibility of deploying a peacekeeping contingent to Ukraine. According to him, this issue was raised during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. Zelenskyy said this on December 19 while in Brussels, UNN reports with reference to Radio Liberty.
“As for the peacekeepers, we talked to Emmanuel about his earlier ideas. We support the idea of strengthening Ukraine, and you understand that. It's a matter of details, we are discussing these details,” Zelenskyy said.

“I am positive that Emmanuel has already had contacts with some leaders. I don't want to give details yet, because we are in the process. And I see that there is already a positive response from some people,” Zelenskyy said.
