The White House has reacted to the statement of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, who proposed to introduce "temporary administration under the auspices of the UN" in Ukraine, allegedly for the sake of elections, Reuters reports, writes UNN.

A representative of the White House National Security Council, answering a question about Putin's statements about the temporary administration, said that "the system of government in Ukraine is determined by its constitution and the people of the country."

Putin proposed to introduce a certain form of temporary administration in Ukraine, allegedly for holding new elections and signing key agreements to achieve a settlement of the war, Russian news agencies reported early Friday.
Putin's comments during a visit to the northern port city of Murmansk came against the backdrop of US attempts to reach a settlement of the war by restoring ties with Russia and engaging with both Moscow and Kyiv in separate talks.
