U.S. Central Command reported overnight that America shot down two Iranian strike drones, UNN reports.
Details
The forces overseeing operations in the Middle East stated that the projectiles "threatened international maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz."
"U.S. forces remain on high alert and ready to continue defending against Iranian aggression," they added.
Context
In the latest exchange of fire, the U.S. also shot down Iranian drones on Friday night and attacked radar stations.
Iran responded with attacks on U.S. bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, while the regime called the U.S. intervention a "clear violation" of the ceasefire agreement between the two countries.
