I will introduce the Georgian Nightmare Non-Recognition Act, which would prohibit the U.S. from recognizing the illegal dictatorial regime in Georgia and recognize Salome Zurabishvili as the only legitimate leader in Georgia until free and fair elections are held
Rep. Joe Wilson, who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee, also noted that the act prohibits the US from recognizing the illegal regime in Georgia.
It is noted that this is the period until fair re-elections are held in the country.

Salome Zurabishvili saidthat she is staying in the Orbeliani presidential palace in Tbilisi ahead of the inauguration of the new president. She does not recognize the results of the December 14 presidential election, which was won by Mikheil Kavelashvili.
