The US and other allies are interested in Ukrainian military technologies. This was stated on the air of the telethon by the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security Yehor Cherniev, reports UNN.
Details
According to him, during the recent visit of the Ukrainian delegation to the United States, representatives of the US State Department for the first time became interested in our technologies for their own army.
A very long story, I think since 2022: we are asking for a license to produce certain spare parts for armored vehicles or barrels for artillery, etc. here - drawings plus a license. That is, such a transfer of technology. And it is gradually moving - something is being transferred, something is being prepared for transfer. But for the first time I heard that the US also wants to receive certain technologies from us for its own army
He also said that some foreign weapons are put "on the shelf" due to their inefficiency.
"I can give an example of "Excalibur" - this is an artillery shell with GPS guidance, which costs tens of thousands of dollars - and is ineffective in the conditions of electronic warfare. At first they were effective, then the Russians learned to counteract - we passed this on to our partners. Partners either make changes on how to counter electronic warfare or do not supply us with such types of weapons," Cherniev said.
Let us remind you
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the government to make a decision on allocating funding for electronic warfare systems in the amount of UAH 540 million to finance front-line communities that are constantly under attack by Russia. He stressed that this will not be a one-time payment, but it is planned to make such regular support for the priority needs of communities.
