The British Raven anti-aircraft missile system, created specifically for Ukraine, has already destroyed more than 400 aerial targets of Russian troops. This was reported by Defense Express, writes UNN.

According to the publication, the effectiveness of the complex is about 70%. Raven first appeared in Ukraine in 2023 and is actively used to counter air attacks.
A photo of the updated version of the complex — Raven 5 — appeared online for the first time. It was probably presented at an exhibition of equipment by the British company Supacat.
The main change was the mobile launcher. While in the basic version it was static, now it can turn towards the target even before the missile is launched. This saves missile energy and potentially increases the range of destruction.
Also, the number of AIM-132 ASRAAM missiles on the launcher has increased from two to four, which increases efficiency during massive attacks.
Technical updates
In the new version, the guidance system has probably been changed. If previously a separate optical station was used, now it can be integrated directly into the launcher.
In addition, Raven 5 received an updated chassis and a larger cabin with a second row of seats for the operator, which improves the working conditions of the crew.
There is currently no official information about Raven 5, including its characteristics and serial production. At the same time, it is possible that the new version of the complex will also be transferred to Ukraine, like the previous model.
