Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Oleksiy Kuleba, together with representatives of central executive authorities, held a briefing for Ukraine's partners to discuss meeting the needs of the energy sector and preparations for the autumn-winter period, UNN reports.
Representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, international organizations, regional military administrations and local governments took part in the videoconference. Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko noted that with proper funding and necessary repairs, almost 3 GW of electricity generation could be restored by the end of the year.
He also said that, thanks to the support of partners, gas-fired combustion plants are already operating in Ukraine, providing distributed generation and supporting the country's power system. The Minister told the meeting participants in detail about the priority needs for restoring, repairing and launching generation at facilities damaged by Russian missile strikes, as well as for implementing distributed generation projects and providing critical infrastructure with backup power sources.
Vasyl Shkurakov, acting Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure, informed about the needs of regions and individual cities of Ukraine for block-modular and modular boiler houses, noting that partner assistance is already meeting a significant part of these requests, particularly in Kharkiv and Kharkiv Oblast. They also discussed the need for cogeneration units and generators to help ensure the stable operation of the power system.

As a result of hostile attacks , consumers in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Sumy regions were left without electricity. Due to damaged gas pipelines, over a thousand customers in four regions were left without gas.
