Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko announced the suspension of the use of police “phantom” cars until the end of martial law.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs decided not to use police cars "phantoms" until the end of martial law. This was announced by Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko during an hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada, an UNN correspondent reports .

"As for the 'phantoms', these cars are in Kyiv, they have expensive equipment. And in order not to hunt our citizens during the war, we decided  not to use them until the end of martial law," Klymenko said.

Addendum

Prior to the full-scale invasion  , phantom cars had a primarily preventive function. They were supposed to record violations of the speed limit by vehicles in both directions of traffic: both in the opposite direction and in the opposite direction.
