Two employees of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police in the Zakarpattia region were dismissed and suspects were announced, after the appearance of new facts in the case of former Kyiv City Council deputy Denys Komarnytskyi, who was put on the wanted list by NABU, the head of the department was also dismissed, reported in the DSI of the National Police, writes UNN.

"The National Police of Ukraine, and in particular the Department of Strategic Investigations, were actively involved in conducting large-scale search operations for Denys Komarnytskyi. At the same time, we became aware of the involvement of two employees of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Zakarpattia region in illegal activities. Our reaction was immediate and principled: these employees have already been dismissed from the ranks of the National Police, and SBU investigators have announced suspicions to them. In addition, the head of the territorial department was immediately dismissed from his position," the DSI said on Facebook.
The department indicated that they condemn any manifestations of dishonesty. "We will continue to actively cooperate with anti-corruption bodies and take all necessary measures to cleanse our ranks of those who have violated the law," the DSI said.

NABU has declared former Kyiv City Council deputy Denys Komarnytskyi wanted in the case of embezzlement of capital land. Earlier it became known that he was trying to cross the border.
