The group claims that the missile struck the vessel and that the operation itself was "successful." There is currently no independent confirmation of this information.
According to the Houthis, the attack was part of a campaign to impose a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia according to the principle of "siege for siege."

British center reported an explosion near a tanker
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) center reported that it had received information earlier on Wednesday about a loud explosion near a tanker approximately 95 nautical miles southeast of Aden.
According to UKMTO, all crew members are safe, and no environmental pollution has been reported. An investigation is currently underway. At the same time, it remains unknown whether this is the same vessel that the Houthis claimed had been attacked.
