The Government of Ukraine has allocated UAH 6.6 billion among regions for the payment of increased salaries to employees in the education and social protection sectors. This was reported by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, writes UNN.
Details
The funding has been directed to 24 regional budgets. The amount of funds for each region was determined individually – taking into account the needs for salary increases and the level of financial capacity of local budgets.
The government mechanism provides for a differentiated approach: the lower the region's own revenues, the larger the share of costs compensated by the state. For territories where hostilities are ongoing or possible, the state covers up to 80% of the costs of salary increases. For less capable budgets, the co-financing level ranges from 50% to 80%.
