On one of the beaches of the US state of Florida, a passerby among the seaweed came across a garbage bag, the contents of which interested him. Police officers who arrived at the scene found cocaine in it, the market value of which is more than a million dollars, UNN reports with reference to Bild.

"Hurricane Debbie dumped 25 packages of cocaine - 32 kilograms in total - on a beach in Florida. A passerby discovered the drugs and notified the authorities," US Coast Guard spokesman Samuel Briggs wrote on social network X.

Hurricane Debbie made landfall in northwestern Florida the previous morning, with wind gusts of 130 km/h. The photos released by the Coast Guard show a bright red triangle on each of the 25 drug packages.

According to the publication, drugs are often found on the beaches of South Florida. Local waters are considered an important smuggling route from South America to the United States. Often, cocaine shipments are deliberately thrown into the sea so that they can be picked up by other smugglers.
