More firearms training will now be included in basic military training for recruits. This was reported by UNN with reference to the report of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The new 45-day firearms training course for Army recruits has expanded the firearms training program. Previously, the cadets practiced 20 exercises in rifle firing in 30 days, but now they will practice 31," the statement said.
Under the updated program, recruits learn how to engage the enemy, clear trenches, and shoot at short distances. The exercises involve demo groups that simulate the actions of a simulated enemy.
"Additionally, a course on collective weapons has been introduced. Recruits are learning how to use AGS, RPGs, as well as RPK, DShK and Browning M2 machine guns. The total number of exercises with weapons has increased to 45," the Land Forces reported.
