The opening ceremony of the XXXIII Olympic Games will take place in Paris today. The flag of Ukraine will be carried by the winners of the previous Olympic Games in Tokyo: tennis player Elina Svitolina and swimmer Mykhailo Romanchuk. 140 Ukrainian athletes will compete at the Olympics, and the Ukrainian house "Volia Space" will work in Paris for the first time, the Ministry of Youth and Sports reported on Friday, UNN wrote.

"Today, the flame of the XXXIII Olympic Games will be lit in Paris. 140 Ukrainian sportsmen and women will compete for their medals under the slogan "the Will to Win!" - the ministry said.
The Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Olympics will start today at 20:30 Kyiv time and for the first time in history will be held outside the stadium. The traditional parade of athletes will take place on boats along the Seine, past the most famous sights of Paris.
Tennis player Elina Svitolina and swimmer Mykhailo Romanchuk, winners of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, will be the flag bearers of the Ukrainian national team.
For the first time ever, the Volia Space Ukrainian House will be operating at the Paris Olympics. It will become the cultural and media center of Ukraine, as well as a place where everyone can feel the Ukrainian will to win and become a part of it.
The Summer Olympics will run from July 26 to August 11.
