Minister of National Defense Yashar Güler, Minister of National Defense of Turkey, in an interview with journalists, providing information about Sweden's accession to NATO, said that "our Swedish friends are trying their best", but "they have not yet been able to fulfill their promises". At the same time, the head of the Turkish defense ministry welcomed the decision of the Danish parliament to ban the burning of the Quran, noting that he hopes for similar decisions by other countries in the region.
