The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted amendments to Resolution No. 413, which will significantly simplify the process of obtaining the status of combatant for certain categories of persons.
According to innovations approved by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, defenders who have served or are serving in the security and defense forces are now exempt from the obligation to personally search for and collect the necessary documents to obtain the status of combat participant. This function will be taken over by the relevant commissions that make decisions on granting the status.
The main innovation is the introduction of an electronic cabinet in the Unified State Register of War Veterans. This makes it easier for applicants, commission secretaries and administrators of Administrative Service Centers (ASCs) to access the necessary information and make relevant records.
In addition, the possibility of submitting applications in paper or electronic form has been established, depending on the category of persons.
Details on changes in accordance with CMU Resolution No. 413:
1. electronic cabinet - a component of the URPTI intended for access of users of the electronic cabinet to the Register for entering information into it and receiving information from it.
Accordingly, the users of this account will be applicants, secretaries of the commission for granting the UDI at the security and defense forces, the secretary of the interagency commission established by the Ministry of Veterans, and the administrator of the ASC.
2. an application form that can be submitted in paper form directly to the combatant commission (interagency commission), in particular through postal correspondence or through the ASC (only for persons from volunteer formations whose combatant status is granted by the interagency commission of the Ministry of Veterans).
However, employees of the intelligence agencies of Ukraine must submit an application exclusively in paper form to the relevant commissions of the intelligence agencies;
3. Persons who serve in the security and defense forces may apply for the status of UAS in electronic form through the Diia Portal or the USREOU.
In the absence of the necessary documents, it is possible to indicate in the application only the information necessary for granting combatant status (verification of their authenticity is entrusted to the commission for reviewing materials on recognition of combatants).
