Spanish authorities have extradited a Ukrainian citizen to Germany, who is suspected of conducting espionage activities for the benefit of the Russian Federation. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Federal Prosecutor at the Federal Court of Justice of Germany.

According to German law enforcement agencies, the man's name is Serhiy N. (full surname currently unknown – ed.), and he is 43 years old. The man was detained in the Spanish city of Elda (near Alicante) on March 24, 2026, and on May 14, he was extradited to Germany.

The investigation established that since December 2025, the detainee had been engaged in the secret collection of information about the facilities of a German company. It is possible that this information was collected for further attacks or provocations.

Media outlets also reported the detention of a 45-year-old Romanian citizen who, according to the investigation, assisted him in this.
