The Supervisory Board of Ukroboronprom has launched a competition for the position of CEO, with Serhiy Boyev temporarily acting as CEO. Boyev has experience in the defense industry and public administration.

The Supervisory Board of the joint-stock company "Ukroboronprom" has launched a competitive selection for the position of General Director following the dismissal of Herman Smetanin. During the competition period, Serhii Boiev will serve as acting General Director, UNN reports, citing the press service of Ukroboronprom.

Details

According to the statement, Boiev has significant experience in the defense industry and public administration.

He held the positions of Deputy Minister of Strategic Industries and Deputy Minister of Defense, where he was responsible for the development of the defense-industrial complex and cooperation with international partners

The joint-stock company also thanked Herman Smetanin for his leadership and wished Serhii Boiev success.

As a result of the Russian attack in Vyshneve on July 6, the largest destruction of the residential sector since the full-scale invasion was recorded - 13 hectares of residential buildings.

President Zelenskyy reported that the Russians struck an ammunition depot in Vyshneve belonging to an enterprise of Ukroboronprom. Zelenskyy also stated that he expects detailed information from the SBU and intelligence regarding what happened in Vyshneve, where people were evacuated due to the threat of repeated detonation.

Subsequently, the joint-stock company "Ukroboronprom" dismissed the heads of two enterprises after the explosions in Vyshneve.

UNN also reported that Herman Smetanin announced the end of his tenure as General Director of "Ukroboronprom".
