The SBU detained six Ukrainians who were spreading calls in support of Russia's war against Ukraine. The detainees face up to 10 years in prison for justifying aggression and encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The Security Service of Ukraine has detained six more Ukrainian citizens who spread calls in support of Russia's war against our country and justified the war crimes of the Nazis. This was reported by the press service of the SBU, according to UNN.

In Kyiv:

Law enforcement officers detained a pseudo-expert who actively supported Russia's armed aggression on his Facebook page.

The investigation revealed that the defendant has a Russian passport and is the author of several pro-Kremlin publications that were clandestinely printed for money from Moscow before the full-scale invasion of Russia,

- the statement said.

In these pseudo-scientific works, the author falsifies the historical facts of the formation and development of Ukrainian statehood in favor of the Russian Federation.

The defendant also used Kremlin propaganda "theses" in his books, in which he justified the seizure of part of the territory of Ukraine.

In Transcarpathia:

Law enforcement officers exposed an IDP from the temporarily occupied city of Holubivka in Luhansk region who praised Putin and glorified the "Kadyrovites." Another suspect is a resident of Berehove district who posted on his Facebook page calls for one of the region's national communities to support Russia's armed aggression.

In Zhytomyr region:

The SBU exposed three enemy agitators at once. One of them organized artificial conflicts with representatives of the CCC. During the provocations, the suspect tried to discredit the Ukrainian military and urged others to evade mobilization. Another is a local taxi driver who imposed Kremlin fakes about the war against Ukraine on passengers during his trips.

Another person on Odnoklassniki called for prayers for Putin.

SBU-initiated examinations confirmed the facts of information and subversive activities of enemy accomplices.

SBU investigators served the detainees suspicion notices under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

  • chs. 2, 3, Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition of the legitimacy, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants);
  • Art. 1, 2 Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine).

The investigation is ongoing. The offenders face up to 10 years in prison.
