"I would like to emphasize the objectives we are setting for the new head coach. He has already formed his staff. The goals, as always, are the most ambitious. We want to qualify for the European Championship through the Nations League. This applies not only to the staff and the head coach. We set the same task for the players. I think the players should take more responsibility for this. We will be talking to them about it," Shevchenko said.

He added that the UAF plans to bring the national team closer to the fans, which is why the team's first training camp will take place in Ukraine.

"And whenever possible, we will look into holding more such camps. There will be events for our supporters to bring the national team even closer to the fans," Shevchenko noted.
