Due to a malfunction in some state registries, the Interior Ministry's service centers are suspending certain registration services for vehicles related to the change of ownership starting December 20. This was reported on Friday by the Interior Ministry's service centers, UNN reports.
Reportedly, the provision of such transportation services has been temporarily suspended:
- under a purchase and sale agreement concluded at an MIA service center, from business entities, a notary, an ASC, and through Diia;
-under a contract of gift, exchange, inheritance
- under a leasing agreement or exchange transaction;
- culling.
At the same time, services remain available:
- first registration of vehicles (new and imported from abroad);
- installation of HBO;
- replacement, booking, ordering, and renewal of license plates;
- examination services (taking exams, issuing driver's licenses);
- replacement and renewal of driver's license and vehicle registration certificate;
- assignment of the proper user.
The IT specialists of the competent services are working to fix the problem and restore the registry. The timeframe for restoring the registry is still unknown. As soon as the registry is operational, the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will resume providing services.

Hostile hackers have carried out one of the largest cyberattacks on Ukraine's state registries. The Ministry of Justice is working to restore access to critical systems, which may take up to two weeks.
According to the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalenko, the cyberattack on Ukraine's state registers was carried out by hackersaffiliated with the main department of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.
