On Tuesday, Delaware Senator Sarah McBride won the lone seat in the House of Representatives, becoming the first openly transgender person elected to Congress.
A native of Delaware, McBride will bring to the House of Representatives not only the voice of her district, but also the hope for greater inclusiveness and diversity in American politics, the media reports.
