Sales volumes of Belarusian gasoline at the St. Petersburg International Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange have decreased dozens of times since the beginning of July. This is reported by Astra, citing data from the National Exchange Price Agency and the newspaper "Kommersant", writes UNN.
Details
As noted, on July 1, 7.14 thousand tons of Belarusian gasoline were sold on the exchange, on July 2 – 7.8 thousand tons. However, already on July 3, sales fell to 240 tons, and on July 6, they amounted to only 420 tons.
According to market participants, Belarusian oil refineries could have almost completely sold the gasoline volumes planned for July. In addition, the reduction in supplies is linked to new restrictions on the growth of exchange prices, which made it less profitable for sellers to sell fuel through the exchange. Some suppliers likely moved to the over-the-counter market.
Belarusian gasoline has become one of the key sources of fuel supply to Russia amid a reduction in domestic production due to repairs at oil refineries. At the same time, according to sources, even significant supplies from Belarus are not able to fully compensate for the fuel deficit on the Russian market.
