This morning, a nursing home with elderly people suffered the most damage from a missile attack by the Russian army on Sumy. Electricity has been restored in the city, and gas supply is expected to be resumed in the coming days. The head of the Sumy city military administration, Oleksiy Drozdenko, told this on Suspilne TV channel, UNN reports.
Around 6:40, a missile attack took place. Preliminary, the missile was shot down because it did not hit any targets. The biggest damage was done to the elderly care center. A random person on the street was injured
According to him, the boarding house has minor damage. There is no need to resettle people.
Several broken windows in the hospital, three civilian cars and a gas pipeline were also damaged as a result of the hostile attack. There was a small fire, which has already been extinguished by rescuers. In addition, a power line was damaged.
Currently, electricity has been restored to all residents, but gas is still being repaired and 724 subscribers are without gas. However, the work is not complicated. We are confident that gas workers will do their job efficiently in a short time, and we will restore gas supply as soon as possible
Drozdenko believes that gas supply will be resumed today or tomorrow.
