A rocket attack by Russian troops on Poltava region killed one person and wounded 12, including 2 children, and damaged several high-rise buildings and cars, Interior Minister Igor Klimenko said on Tuesday, UNN reports.

According to the minister, almost 100 rescuers worked that night in Poltava region, where the enemy attacked an apartment building.
"The occupants launched a rocket attack last night on a two-story apartment building with about 30 people living there. SES units rescued 2 people, psychologists of the National Police and SES provided assistance to about 20 residents. Unfortunately, 1 person died and 12 others were injured. Among them are 2 children," Klymenko wrote on Telegram.
In addition, he said, two three-story buildings, one four-story building and about a dozen cars were damaged by the missile strike. The rescue operation lasted more than 3 hours.
