The State Emergency Service confirmed that 16 people, including one rescuer, were killed in Odesa as a result of an enemy missile attack on the city. "53 people were injured, 8 of whom were employees of the State Emergency Service," the SES said, but gave slightly different figures.
As indicated, psychologists from the State Emergency Service and the National Police are working at the scene to provide psychological assistance to people.
"All victims are being provided with the necessary assistance. Due to the threat of repeated shelling by the enemy, rescuers are forced to periodically interrupt their work and stay in shelters," the SES noted.
According to Kiper, meanwhile, more than 200 Odesa residents and visitors have already donated blood for the victims of the enemy attack, and about a hundred more people are waiting in line at the blood donation centers. "Our Odesa region is unbreakable," he said.
