Russian intelligence services continue to recruit Ukrainians under a false flag. They pose as employees of the SBU and other law enforcement agencies of Ukraine and, under various pretexts, force citizens to prepare arson, terrorist attacks, or other crimes. This is reported by UNN citing the Security Service of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of this year, the SBU and the National Police have uncovered dozens of similar recruitment attempts. During recruitment, Russians pose as employees of the SBU, National Police, and other law enforcement agencies. They do this via messengers or during phone calls.
Also, the special services of the aggressor country use customer databases of online stores to obtain personal data of potential victims. In addition, they do not disdain other methods, namely:
- they blackmail with criminal liability under fabricated pretexts (for example, for allegedly "purchasing medical drugs on Russian sites");
- they demand money for closing non-existent criminal
proceedings;
- they induce arson attacks on administrative buildings, vehicles of the Defense Forces, etc.
Sometimes Russian handlers demand money from victims to "avoid imprisonment." They usually ask to transfer funds to the enemy's account details or hand over cash via a courier, allegedly for "verification of authenticity," the SBU post states.
Ukrainian special services have called on citizens to be vigilant.
