At least 51 Chinese citizens have passed through the Moscow recruitment center for military service under contract. This follows from the data on recruitment for a contract in Moscow from June 2023 to May 2024, which were obtained by the Russian media. 31 fighters from China applied to this institution in 2023, and another 20 in 2024, reports UNN.

Details

It is noted that those wishing to conclude a contract from China came to sign up for service regularly every month. Most Chinese citizens wanted to conclude a contract in July 2023, when 8 people came to the Moscow recruitment center at once.

It is reported that the youngest of the Chinese contractors is 20 years old, the oldest is 51 years old. At least one of them has already died in the war in Ukraine. Thus, 38-year-old Rui Zhao signed a contract with the Russian army at the end of September 2023, and already in December 2023, according to Ukrainian media, he was killed in the Zaporizhzhia region.

There is also information about wounded soldiers from China. One of the wounded was Lin Pan, a former employee of the Chinese military police, who received the St. George's Cross for evacuating "comrades" who were attacked by a drone near Bakhmut. He was wounded, ended up in the hospital and returned to the front.

Another military man who was wounded, Wei Duan, was included in the database of patients of medical institutions of the Main Military Medical Department of the Russian Ministry of Defense. He has already returned to China, and in conversations with journalists, he confirmed that he is a Chinese citizen and participated in the war against Ukraine.

41-year-old Jianwei Li, who flew to Russia and applied to the recruitment center under contract in December 2023, spoke in detail on his social networks about his service in the Russian army. According to him, from the moment a contractor appears on the battlefield until his death, an average of 8-10 hours can pass. He complained about "weak" military equipment and weapons, as well as the language barrier, which prevents him from communicating with Russian comrades and speaking on the radio with the command.

In the two weeks that I have been here, we have only advanced 100 meters. We lost dozens of people and did not pick them up

- he stated.

Another military man, 38-year-old Ruiqi Sun, also complained on social media about the conditions in the Russian army. He flew to Russia in September 2023 and the next day applied to conclude a contract.

There is no medical help here. Everyone doesn't care. The pain is killing me. I contacted the Chinese Embassy in Russia. They said it was my personal problem

- said the man.
