The operation to rescue the crew of the Volgoneft 239 tanker in the Kerch Strait has been completed. The Russian Emergencies Ministry claims that 14 people have been successfully evacuated.
“The operation to rescue the crew from the Volgoneft 239 tanker has been completed. All 14 people have been safely evacuated to shore,” the Russian Emergencies Ministry said in a statement.

UNN reported that in the Kerch Strait two Volgoneft tankers had an accident, one ran aground.
The tanker accident resulted in a spill of oil products. The extent of the spill is still unknown.
Thirteen people were evacuated from the Volgoneft 212, one of them died.
On board the Volgoneft 239 , 14 sailors were waiting to be rescued.
