Residents of frontline areas can now receive compensation for destroyed housing under the eRestoration program. Commissions of local governments in communities in the area of active hostilities have been given the opportunity to consider applications from citizens whose housing was destroyed due to Russian aggression. This was reported by the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure, UNN reports.

It is noted that after updating the regulatory framework and functionality of the eVindication program, in cases where the inspection of property does not pose a threat to the life and health of commission members, they can process citizens' applications and calculate compensation.
Compensation can be provided in the form of a housing certificate or a payment for reconstruction on their own land plot.
Citizens can buy a house or build a new one only on the territory where there are no active hostilities and which is not under temporary occupation

The agency also noted that if the commission determines that the housing is subject to restoration during the assessment of the condition of the housing, a corresponding inspection report will be drawn up and entered into the Register of Damaged and Destroyed Property. In this case, it will be possible to receive funds for the restoration of this housing only after the community is excluded from the list of those where active hostilities are ongoing.
