Head of the CPD Andriy Kovalenko stated that Putin faces a choice between ending the war, mobilization, or dragging NATO in. He emphasized that only forceful coercion of Russia to peace is effective.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin continues to stand at a crossroads between ending the war, continuing it with further mobilization in Russia, and prolonging the confrontation with Ukraine by attempting to directly draw European NATO countries into the war through airstrikes. This was reported on Telegram by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (CCD) Andriy Kovalenko, reports UNN.

Details

According to him, although it is clear, the latter option will inevitably lead to a response from the member states of the Alliance.

In the Russian Federation, there are representatives of elites who advocate for a ceasefire and Moscow's entry into the negotiation process, but they seem less popular than those who propose war and diplomatic stalling. Strikes on Russia, which will only intensify, help create conditions for ending the war. But the Russian elites may have to resolve the issue of Putin to end this military madness, which the declared Russian leader does not yet want to stop. Unfortunately, there is no other way besides forcefully compelling Russia to peace.

- Kovalenko noted.

He emphasized that diplomacy without force, with logical arguments and references to international law, had been applied since 2014, and no party that conducted a dialogue with Putin from a position of logic was successful, because "in such diplomacy, two parallel realities collided."

"Only diplomacy with the use of forceful instruments brings Russian reality closer to the reality of the real world," the head of the CCD summarized.
