Police are investigating a firework launch in Odesa during martial law

Odesa police discovered the use of pyrotechnics on June 1 through social media. Law enforcement officers are currently identifying the individuals involved to provide a legal assessment.

Police have launched an investigation into a fireworks display in Odesa that occurred on the evening of June 1. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region, according to UNN.

It is noted that no reports regarding the incident were received via the 102 emergency line. Law enforcement officers learned of the event while monitoring social media, after which an investigative-operational group from the local police unit was dispatched to the scene.

Law enforcement officers are currently identifying the individuals involved in launching the pyrotechnics. A legal assessment of their actions will be provided based on the results of the investigation.

The police reminded that during martial law in Ukraine, the sale and use of most types of pyrotechnic products, including salutes, fireworks, firecrackers, and other pyrotechnics of classes F2, F3, and F4, are prohibited.
