The Perm oil refinery in Russia has completely halted operations following a Ukrainian drone attack on May 7. At that time, a fire broke out and equipment was damaged. This was reported by Reuters, citing two industry sources, according to UNN.

According to sources, three primary oil distillation units, as well as some secondary processing units, were urgently shut down after the strike. One of the key units—CDU-4—had not been functioning since April 30 following a previous drone attack.
The "Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez" enterprise is one of Russia's largest oil refineries. In 2024, it processed about 12.6 million tons of oil, which is approximately 250,000 barrels per day.
The plant also produced about 2 million tons of gasoline, 5.3 million tons of diesel fuel, 700,000 tons of coke, and 200,000 tons of fuel oil.
On May 7, the Governor of the Perm Krai, Dmitry Makhonin, confirmed the drone attack on industrial facilities in the region, but did not specify which enterprise was affected.
The following day, repeated strikes on oil refining infrastructure were reported, specifically targeting the "Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez" plant and the "Perm" linear production and dispatch station.
