A pedestrian bridge collapsed on the Kyiv-Odesa highway after an accident with a truck , temporarily blocking traffic in the direction of Kyiv, the Cherkasy Oblast National Police reported, UNN reports.

"An accident occurred on the Kyiv-Odesa highway. Preliminarily, a truck hit a pedestrian bridge, which collapsed onto the roadway," the regional police said.
It is noted that police are working at the scene. Information about the victims is being clarified.
"The traffic in the direction of Kyiv is temporarily blocked. The police department of the Patrol Police in Cherkasy region is ensuring the reverse traffic," the statement said.
The Patrol Police of Ukraine said that the accident occurred in Cherkasy region on the 208th kilometer of the M-05 Kyiv-Odesa highway, near the city of Uman.
