The Olympic Torch Relay of the 2024 Olympic Games to be held in Paris officially began on April 16, according to the official resources of the Olympics, UNN reports.

"From one Olympic champion to another! Stefanos Douskos from Greece passes the torch to Laure Manod from France, Olympic swimming champion," reads the message on the X Olympic Games page.
Traditionally, the first torchbearer is a Greek athlete, followed by a representative of the host country.
