Over 500 people were arrested in central London on Saturday during a protest against the ban on the Palestine Action organization. The protest took place in Trafalgar Square, where participants held placards in support of the banned organization. This was reported by the BBC, writes UNN.

According to the Metropolitan Police, the arrests were made due to public support for a banned organization. The age of those arrested ranges from 18 to 87 years. A total of 523 people were detained. The police emphasized that supporting Palestine Action is considered a criminal offense under anti-terrorism legislation.

The protest, called "All Souls' Day," was organized by the group Defend Our Juries. The organizers stated that the action demonstrates resistance to the ban on Palestine Action, which was introduced in July 2025. Despite a court decision in February that declared the ban illegal, it remains in effect pending an appeal.

Among those detained was Massive Attack founder Robert Del Naja, who stated that he is ready to challenge his detention in court. In total, since the ban on Palestine Action, more than 2,200 people have been detained on suspicion of supporting the organization.
