The Volyn Veterans' Reintegration Centre — a space for the psychological, social, and professional adaptation of veterans and their family members — has begun operating at the Main Directorate of the National Police in Volyn Oblast. The ZPEK group of companies, led by Oleg Chykyda, took part in establishing the Centre, viewing it as part of its understanding of business responsibility during the full-scale war.
Oleg Chykyda, co-owner of the ZPEK group of companies, stressed that supporting veterans is a shared task of the state, society, and business, and that the most important investment in wartime is an investment in people.
"We often talk about investing in infrastructure, logistics, or energy security. But the most important investment today is an investment in people. The country's recovery begins with the recovery of those who defended it. That is why we supported the creation of this Centre. Such initiatives help veterans receive the support they need, adapt to civilian life, and move forward with confidence," Oleg Chykyda noted.
In his view, it is no longer enough for business simply to operate and pay taxes — it must be present where real support is needed.
"Today it is not enough simply to work, pay taxes, and grow a company. Business must be there where real support is needed. The Veterans' Reintegration Centre in Volyn is precisely the kind of project that has practical significance for people. We are talking about those who went through the war, fulfilled their duty to the state, and today need attention, respect, and help as they return to peaceful life," Oleg Chykyda added.
ZPEK notes that social responsibility during the war must not be a declaration but practical participation in projects that help people and communities, so supporting veterans' initiatives remains one of the company's important areas of work.
