A drone attacked an oil refinery in Nizhnekamsk in the Russian Tatarstan, Russian media and telegram channels reported on Tuesday, UNN reports.

According to Baza, eyewitnesses report an attempted drone strike on the TANEKO plant, part of the Tatarstan oil refining complex, in Nizhnekamsk. According to preliminary data, the drone struck one of the installations.
According to state-run Russian media, the drone attack caused a fire that was extinguished in 20 minutes.
At the same time, Ramil Mullin, head of the Nizhnekamsk municipal district and mayor of Nizhnekamsk, told a state-run media outlet that the electronic warfare system had allegedly intercepted a drone that attacked the Nizhnekamsk refinery, and that there were no casualties or damage.
Tatarstan authorities say businesses in Elabuga and Nizhnekamsk were attacked by drones.
