The Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council has detected a new wave of Russian propaganda fakes about the events in the Kursk region of Russia. Allegations are being circulated about allegedly false videos showing the humane treatment of the Ukrainian military to civilians in Russia and the alleged participation of "militants of an American private military company" in the operation. This was reported by UNN.

The CPC recorded another wave of disinformation publications around the following topics:
- “A film from the Kyiv Film Studio”.
Russians reportedly continue to deny the humane treatment of civilians by the Ukrainian military and call all videos about it fake. This was the case with a video that circulated online of a Ukrainian soldier treating a local woman to canned food. ru-propaganda claimed that the woman in the video was an actress from Chernihiv and that the video was shot by a "Kyiv Film Studio".
- “American PMC”.
The propagandists spread a post by the founder of Forward Observation Group, who posted a photo of the military in the Kursk region on social media and claimed that "militants of an American private military company" were involved in the operation. In fact, according to the Center, the Forward Observation Group is not a private military contractor, but a security and tactical training consulting company that sells tactical equipment. At the same time, stories are being circulated by alleged residents of the Kursk region who say they have seen foreign mercenaries among the Ukrainian military.
- “Crosses Removed from Corpses”.
Ahmat militants, who have repeatedly disgraced themselves by participating in battles on TikTok fronts, have released a video of an allegedly captured Ukrainian man whose belongings were found to contain crosses. In an attempt to demonize the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Ahmadiyya group claimed that the crosses were taken from the bodies of dead Russians.
- “NATO was preparing the Ukrainian military for the Kursk operation”.
Hostile media disseminate a photo of a "certificate of training in Germany" allegedly found in the phone of one of the captured Ukrainians. In this way, propaganda continues to look for ways to accuse Western powers of involvement in the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operation in the Kursk region.
