After updating the three-row Mercedes-Benz GLS SUV, the automaker is ready to introduce a new Maybach version. The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680 2027 will go on sale at the end of this year with an updated exterior, a more powerful engine, and a modernized interior. This is reported by Motor1, writes UNN.

Under the hood is a new biturbo 4.0-liter V8 Mercedes engine — M177 Evo, which now develops 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. This is 53 horsepower and 89 lb-ft more than the previous model. The engine has electrification thanks to a second-generation starter generator.
Mercedes has refined the GLS steering system, and the Maybach comes standard with Airmatic air suspension. Buyers will also be able to order the new E-Active Body Control system, which actively adjusts spring and damper forces to reduce body roll, pitch during movement, and vehicle lift.
Maybach GLS gets an update
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680 2027 features a completely new front end with an illuminated radiator grille surround. It also gets an illuminated Maybach logo on the grille and an illuminated standing Mercedes-Benz star — both elements appearing for the first time in brand vehicles.
Standard are 22-inch wheels with a 20-hole design. Optional 23-inch forged wheels are equipped with a precision ball bearing mechanism that keeps the star logo on the wheel upright.
Inside, like the regular GLS, the Maybach gets the MBUX Superscreen system — a triple Mercedes display, as well as the latest multimedia system software.
The interior is complemented by rose-gold elements on the dashboard, illuminated exterior climate control vents, and an improved massage function for first and second row passengers.
The SUV comes standard with an updated Burmester 3D Surround audio system with Dolby Atmos. It now has two additional speakers — 15 in total, and the amplifier power is 710 watts.
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680 2027 will begin arriving at dealers at the end of this year. Mercedes has not yet announced the price of the updated model.
