The police will not perform the functions of the TCRs, but will only deliver those who have received a call and did not come to them, according to the new law on mobilization, according to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.

According to the new law on mobilization, the police will not perform the functions of the TCC, but will only deliver evaders to territorial recruitment centers. This was reported by Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko in an interview within the framework of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities on April 12, UNN reports.

Details

According to the minister, the new law on mobilization will not change anything for the police and they will not perform the functions of the TCR.

"The police have requests from territorial recruitment centers to search for people who have received a summons but have not come to the TCR. Of course, the police, having received such a notice, search for such a person, and then we bring them to the TCR to establish why this citizen did not come," Klymenko said.

He also commented on whether the police would issue subpoenas.

"The police will not issue subpoenas, this is purely the work of the TCR," the minister said.

Klymenko added that from now on, any check of citizens' documents by police officers, namely those documents that determine the presence of armor or a residence permit, will be recorded on video.

Recall

The Verkhovna Rada has approved a draft law on mobilization that introduces various provisions, including obliging persons with disabilities to undergo a second medical examination after February 24, 2022, restrictions on driving for those who evade military service, and the need to carry military registration documents.
